Terms & Conditions

By creating an account or using the RideTayo mobile application and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account or use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users in jurisdictions where the minimum age for consent to data processing is higher (such as 16 in the EU) must meet that higher requirement.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. You agree to keep your information up to date.

One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person.

Your username is permanent once set and cannot be changed. Choose it carefully.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

RideTayo may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms. Account status is tracked as active, suspended, or banned. Banned users lose access to the Service immediately.

The Service allows you to submit posts, comments, route reviews, photos, and other content ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant RideTayo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, distribute, and otherwise use your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to submit the User Content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

RideTayo may (but is not obligated to) remove User Content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines, at our sole discretion.

Post edit history is retained by the system and may be used for moderation purposes.

You agree not to post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content or conduct that:

• Harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates any person • Is obscene, defamatory, or constitutes hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin • Impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation with a person or entity • Constitutes unsolicited commercial messages or spam • Promotes illegal activity or violates the rights of others • Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code

RideTayo reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that engage in prohibited conduct.

The Digital Passport is a system-assigned identity feature. Your passport number (format: RT-XXXXXXXX) is generated by RideTayo, is unique to your account, and is non-transferable.

QR codes generated for passport verification are time-limited (5-minute TTL) and are intended for identity verification purposes only. Do not share your QR codes.

Tiers, ranks, and badges (owner, official, creator, verified) are assigned by the system based on activity or administrative decision. They are not purchasable or transferable.

Routes on the Service are categorized as Official (admin-curated), Merchant (sponsored), or Community (user/club-created). RideTayo governs route promotion between tiers.

Community routes are User Content. The rider who submits a route is responsible for its accuracy and legality.

RideTayo provides routes for reference and informational purposes only. We are not responsible for road conditions, hazards, closures, legality, or accuracy of user-submitted routes.

IMPORTANT: Riding a motorcycle is inherently dangerous. You are solely responsible for your own safety and decisions while riding. RideTayo is a route-sharing and social platform, not a navigation service. Never allow the app to distract you from safe riding. Always obey traffic laws.

You are responsible for the accuracy of vehicle information you enter (including plate numbers, model details, and modification records). RideTayo stores this data for your convenience.

RideTayo is not a vehicle registry, registration authority, or insurance provider. Your plate number is stored only as informational metadata and is not verified against any government registry.

Bike data, including statistics and modification records, is linked to your account and subject to the same deletion policy as other account data.

The RideTayo name, logo, app design, and underlying code are proprietary to RideTayo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Official and curated routes may be RideTayo intellectual property.

The Service incorporates open-source software. Attributions and license notices for these components are available at ridetayo.app/licenses.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any license to use RideTayo's trademarks, logos, or proprietary content beyond using the Service as intended.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

RideTayo does not guarantee that: • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free • Any errors will be corrected • Map data or route information will be accurate or complete

Features may change, be removed, or be unavailable without prior notice. RideTayo may experience downtime or data loss.

Map accuracy depends on third-party providers (Google Maps). RideTayo makes no representations about the accuracy or reliability of map data.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account. A 7-day grace period applies during which you may cancel the deletion. After the grace period, all your data is permanently deleted.

RideTayo may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

Banned accounts lose access to the Service immediately and permanently.

Upon termination, the license you granted RideTayo to your User Content terminates, except for content that has been shared with others (such as comments or posts that other users have interacted with) where removal may not be technically feasible.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RIDETAYO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

RIDETAYO IS A ROUTE-SHARING AND SOCIAL PLATFORM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ACCIDENTS, INJURIES, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR DEATH THAT MAY OCCUR DURING RIDES THAT USE OR REFERENCE ROUTES OR INFORMATION FROM THE SERVICE.

RIDETAYO IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF OTHER USERS OR FOR ANY INTERACTIONS BETWEEN USERS THAT OCCUR ON OR OFF THE PLATFORM.

In jurisdictions that do not allow exclusion or limitation of liability, RideTayo's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. If any fee has been paid for the Service, maximum liability is limited to the amount paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or a minimum amount required by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RideTayo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your use of the Service • Your User Content • Your violation of these Terms • Your violation of any rights of another person or entity

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute within 30 days.

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be submitted to the appropriate courts of competent jurisdiction in the Philippines.

RideTayo may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the app or sending an email to your registered address.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
